AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO.
789 BEING THE CLASSIFIED EMPLOYEES SALARY
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA, CREATING A NEW CLASSIFICATION
OF POLICE RECORDS SPECIALIST; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That the following line be added in alphabetical sequence to Section 1,
Group V of Ordinance No. 789:

SUBJECT: PROPOSED AME DMENT TO CLASSIFIED SALARY ORDINANCE NO. 789
Attached, for your approval and adoption, is an amendment to Classified
Salary Ordinance No. 789 establishing a new classification of POLICE
RECORDS SPECIALIST. -
The creation of a Police Records Specialist classification will provide the
proper job classification for a function currently provided in the Police
Records Bureau. The function of the Police Records Specialist includes the
application of computer technology to Police Records Systems and requires
unique qualifications to perform the job duties and responsibilities.
The job classification and specification were approved by the Personnel Board
on April 21, 1989.
The cost to fund this new classification for the balance of the fiscal year is
$600.00 and funds are available in the Police Department budget for this
purpose.
ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION:
Adopt the ordinance creating the new classification of Police Records
Specialist.
