RESOLUTION NO. 1254
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TH. CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1.
That a Sanitary Sewer has been constructed and is
owned and operated by the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
in t#e Alley between Collins and Washington Avenues
from Sixth Street to Fourteenth Place ; as said Alley,
Avenues, Street and Place are named and designated
in Ordinance No. 170, adopted by this City Cofineil
January 18th, 1922, and recorded in Deed Book No .297 ,
Page 242, of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
Section 2.
That all owners of property abutting the aforesaid
Alley, except the owners of the lots who have been
already connected therewith, be and they are hereby
ordered to connect their several properties with the
Sewer hereinbefore mentioned, constructed, owned and
operated by the said City, and that such connection
to be made within ten days after the first publication
of such notice, and that upon default of compliance
with this order the City Council will contbact for or
'ake such connections at such distances and in accord-
ance with specifications now on file in the office of
the City Engineer of said City, the whole cost of the
several connections to be, by said City Council, made
a lien against the particular property with which the
connection is made , of the same extent and character
as the liens in the Charter of said City, provided for
special assessments, which charge shall be forthwith
due and payable with the same penalties and with the
same right of collection and sale and forfeiture as
obtain for City Taxes.
Salion 3.
That a notice in substantially the following form be
published at intervals of seven days in The Miami Herald,
a newspaper of general circulation in the City of Miami
Beach, Florida.
"NOTICE TO CONNECT WITH SEWER"
Notice is hereby given that all owners of property abutting
upon the Alley between Collins and Washington Avenues from
Sixth Street to Fourteenth Place, as said Alley, Avenues,
Street and Place are named and designated in Ordinance No.
170, adopted by this Council January 18th, 1922, and recorded
in Deed Book No . 297 , Page 242, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida, except the owners of the lots who have
been already connected with a Sewer, be and they are hereby
ordered to connect their several properties on or before
December 15th, 1925, with a sewer constructed in the afore-
said Alley, and owned and operated by the City of Miami Beach;
otherwise the City Council will contract for or make such
connection and the whole cost of such connection will be
made a lien against the particular property with which the
connection is made of the same extent and character as the
lien in the City Charter provided for special assessments,
which charge shall be forthwith due and payable, with the

same penalties and with the same rights of collection
and sale and forfeiture as obtain for City Taxes" .
