AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891, SECTION 6-16
THEREOF ENTITLED "MU MUNICIPAL USE DISTRICT" TO
INCLUDE AS PERMITTED USE "PRIVATE USE, OR JOINT CITY AND
PRIVATE USE OF PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY OR THE
MIAMI BEACH REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY, INCLUDING AIR-
RIGHTS"; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; INCLUSION IN THE
COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE; REPEALING ALL
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
WHEREAS the Planning Board has considered and recommended adoption of certain
amendments to the district regulations pertaining to the MU Municipal Use District after
Public Hearings to consider same; and
WHEREAS the Planning Board has found said proposed Amendments to be consistent
with the City's Comprehensive Plan; and
WHEREAS the City Commission finds said Amendments to be consistent with the
City's Comprehensive Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That Section 6-16 of Ordinance 1891 be, and the same is, hereby amended to
read:
Uses Permitted: The specific use shall be determined in accordance with the
City's Comprehensive Plan and under the regulations set forth for Conditional
Uses. No land, water, air or structure may be used in whole or in part, except
for one or more of the following uses but not limited to permitted uses that sell,
serve or otherwise distribute alcoholic beverages in this district shall comply
with the standards and regulations found in Section 14.
6. Private use, or joint City and private use of property owned by the City
or the Miami beach Redevelopment Agency, including air-rights.
7. 6 Accessory uses for the above uses.

SECTION 2: INCLUSION IN ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1891.
It is the intention of the City Commission, and it is hereby ordained that the provision of
this ordinance shall become and be made a part of the City of Miami Beach Zoning
Ordinance No. 1891 as amended; that the sections of this Ordinance may be renumbered or
relettered to accomplish such intention; and that the word "ordinance" may be changed to
"section" or other appropriate word.
SECTION 3: REPEALER. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be
and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: SEVERABILITY. If any section, sub-section, sentence, clause, phrase, or
portion of this Ordinance is, for any reason, held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of
competent jurisdiction, such portion shall be deemed a separate, distinct and independant
provision and such hold shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
Ordinance.
SECTION 5: EFFECTIVE DATE
This ordinance shall become effective ten (10) days after adoption on June 13, 1987.
