RESOLUTION NO. 96-21925
A RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED
FOR RFP NO. 13-95/97, TO PROVIDE GOVERNMENTAL
REPRESENTATION AND CONSULTING SERVICES IN
WASHINGTON, D.C.
WHEREAS, on November 14, 1995, the City issued Request for Proposals (RFP)
No. 13-95/97 to provide governmental representation and consulting services in
Washington, D.C. A committee was appointed to review the proposals received; and
WHEREAS, there were (six) 6 proposals made in response to the RFP. The Committee
reviewed all proposals, heard presentations from (four) 4 proponents, and rendered its
recommendations by ranking the proposers in order of preference; and
WHEREAS, questions arose concerning matters of disclosure and qualifications, and the
level and depth of services to be provided. In light of those questions, the Committee's
recommendations were not taken up by the Commission. Those questions have not been resolved
in a manner satisfactory to the Administration. The Administration recommends rejection of all
proposals, as to bring closure to the pending RFP process and so as to permit the Administration
to develop an alternative course of action.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission herein authorize the Administration to reject all proposals received for RFP
No. 13-95/97, to provide Governmental Representation and Consulting Services in
Washington, D. C.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 20TH DAY OF MARCH, 1996.

Administration Recommendation: Reject all proposals.
Background:
