98-22877 RESO RESOLUTION No. 98-22877 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING THE EIGHTH AMENDMENT TO THE POLICE CONFISCATION TRUST FUND FOR FISCAL YEAR 1997/98, IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000, TO BE FUNDED FROM THE PROCEEDS OF STATE CONFISCATED FUNDS. WHEREAS, Section 932.705, Florida Statutes, addresses the purposes and procedures to be utilized for the appropriation and expenditures of the Police Confiscation Trust Fundi and WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the City of Miami Beach has determined that the need for the appropriation and expenditures exists and the appropriation and the expenditure of forfeiture funds is in compliance with Section 932.705, Florida Statutes, and with Federal guidelines; and WHEREAS, such funds are available in the Police Confiscation Trust Fund. ANALYSIS The Administration requests authorization to Amendment to the operating budget for the Confiscation Trust Fund in the amount of $100,000 to be used to provide funds for the expenditures "A". adopt the Eighth FY 97/98 Police from State funds listed in Exhibit In accordance with Florida State Statute 932.705, forfeiture funds have been deposited in the Police Confiscation Trust Fund. The City has complied with all statutory procedures involved in the transaction of these funds. CONCLUSION The attached Resolution provides for the Eighth Amendment to the FY 97/98 Police Confiscation Trust Fund in the amount of $100,000 to be used for the expenditures listed in Exhibit "A".
