PARKS AND R REATION BLUE RIBBON CITIZENS' COMMITTEE
As you know, the Parks and Recreation Blue Ribbon Citizens' Committee has been
meeting since September 2001. The purpose of the Blue Ribbon Committee is to examine
the City's parks programming to develop a blueprint that outlines a series of improvements
that will enhance the overall quality and accessibility of the City's programs, facilities and
uses in order to meet the needs and expectations of the City's residents.
The Blue Ribbon Committee will be conducting a sedes of Town Hall Meetings throughout
the City of Miami Beach to receive the community's input and recommendations. If you
would like to attend the meetings are scheduled as follows:
Middle Beach-Thursday, January 17, 2002 at 6:30 pm at North Beach Elementary
South Beach- Thursday, January 24, 2002 at 6:30 pm at Fienberg-Fisher Elementary
North Beach - Thursday, January 31, 2002 6:30 pm at Biscayne Elementary
The Blue Ribbon Committee meets regularly every other Tuesday at 6:00 pm in the City
Manager's Large Conference Room. The first meeting of the New Year is scheduled for
January 8, 2002.
