A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, PROVIDING
AUTHORITY FOR THE SIGNING OF VOUCHERS DRAWN
ON FUNDS IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
DEPOSITORIES AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 98-
22628
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach maintains Operating and Trust accounts at various
financial institutions; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Commission wish to designate new signatories, due to the
changes in City Administration, who may execute vouchers in order to draw upon funds for the
benefit of the City which requires that Resolution No. 98-22628 be rescinded.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Commission of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida:
That on and after the 24th day of September 1998, all withdrawal of funds from the
City of Miami Beach accounts in City Depositories described below, shall be by a
duly prepared voucher executed and countersigned by designated individuals as
described in Section 2:

Each official duly prepared voucher shall be executed and countersigned as follows:
a. That any one of the following specified individuals may execute an official
duly prepared voucher bearing the various designations as given above:
1. PATRICIA D. WALKER, as Finance Director, or
11. GEORGINA P. ECHERT, as Assistant Finance Director, or
111. ROBERT PARCHER, as City Clerk:
b. That any one of the following specified individuals may countersign an
official duly prepared voucher bearing the various designations as given
above:
1. SERGIO RODRIGUEZ, as City Manager, or
11. MA YRA DIAZ-BUTTACA VOLl, as Assistant City Manager, or
111. CHRISTINA M. CUERVO, as Assistant City Manager.
That the above individuals shall execute a signature page concerning the account, in
the format as attached hereto as Exhibit "A".
And with the further provision as to the accounts enumerated above in First Union
National Bank of Florida, SunTrust Bank/Miami, N.A., Nations Bank, N.A., City
National Bank, and Bankers Trust Company, withdrawals of funds from which shall
be on imprinted checks designated each bearing two signatures as set forth; or
bearing the signature consisting of the background and other identifying symbols and
facsimile signatures, as are imprinted on the sample checks attached hereto and made
a part thereof; and the Finance Director is hereby authorized to use said signature in
connection with said accounts.
That said First Union National Bank of Florida, SunTrust Bank/Miami, N.A.,
Nations Bank, N.A., City National Bank, and Bankers Trust Company, are hereby
authorized and requested to accept, honor and pay without further inquiry and until
delivery to it of written notice ofthe further inquiry, and until delivery to it of written
notice of the revocation of the authority hereby granted, all checks and other orders
for the payment or withdrawal of money deposited with said banks in the name of
said City of Miami Beach including checks drawn to the individual order of the
officers signing same and including also all such instruments payable or endorsed to
the order of the City of Miami Beach, when such checks or other orders for money
shall be signed or endorsed in the name of the City of Miami Beach by its officers
hereinbefore named.
That Resolution No. 98-22628 adopted on the 7th day of January 1998, be and the

same is hereby rescinded and that all other resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.

BEACH DEPOSITORIES (RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 98-22628)

ADMINISTRA TION RECOMMENDATION
Adopt the Resolution.
BACKGROUND
The attached resolution is periodically updated, as required, due to changes in authorized signers,
addition of new bank accounts and deletion of closed bank accounts. The current resolution replaces
the signature of Harry Mavrogenes, Assistant City Manager, with the signature of Christina M.
Cuervo, the newly appointed Assistant City Manager. This resolution also adds the signature of
Georgina P. Echert, Assistant Finance Director who replaces Barbara Cole. All banking institutions
were notified to remove Barbara Cole as an authorized signatory on May 15, 1998.
ANALYSIS
Proposed changes incorporated in this resolution are necessary to properly reflect current authorized
signatures.
CONCLUSION
This resolution should be approved to provide continuity for signing of vouchers on these accounts.
