DEMONSTRATION NOTIFICATION I PROTEST IN ADVOCACY OF A HOMELESS
SHELTER
This is notification that on February 20, 2002 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., a demonstration
organized by Civilians In Action, will take place at the Miami Beach Commission entrance
by 17th Street and Meridian Avenue. Rafael Antonio Velasquez, Esquire, producer of this
demonstration, is advocating a homeless shelter in Miami Beach. This protest will be held
in a press conference fashion and there will be no picketing. It is estimated that
approximately 50 people will be in attendance. Police, Parking, Miami Beach Convention
Center, Neighborhood Services and Code Compliance departments have been notified.
The Organizer was notified that the if the demonstration interferes with traffic on
Convention Center Drive and 17th Street, or excess noise is produced, or other laws and
ordinances are broken, the demonstration will be terminated by the City of Miami Beach
Police.
