AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1 AND SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 1605, SO AS TO AMEND THE RATE OF COMPENSATION FOR ALL
UNCLASSIFIED CLASSIFICATIONS IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA; EXCLUDING CITY MANAGER AND CITY ATTORNEY, AND
PROVIDING FOR ADOPTION OF SAME AS AN EMERGENCY MEASURE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Salary Ordinance No. 1605 of the City of Miami Beach be and the
same is hereby amended, effective April 1, 1979, by providing for a
six dollars ($6.00) a week increase to the classifications listed
below so that said classifications are compensated as of said date
within the range set forth below respectively for each.

SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. That if any portion of this ordinance shall be declared invalid, the
remaining portions shall have the same force and effect as though such
invalid portion or portions had not been included.
SECTION 5.
Attest:
That the City Commission has found and determined that a public emer-
gency exists affecting life, health, property or public safety, this
ordinance is hereby adopted as an emergency measure and shall go into
effect immediately upon its adoption.
