TO RECEI E BENEFITS UNDER ANY OTHER PART OR SECTION OF THIS ORDINANCE• HOURLY COMPENSATION CONVENTION CENTER CASUAL LABORER 3900 $2 .25 SECTION 2. That Section 1.1 of Ordinance 789 is hereby amended to read as follows: "SECTION 1.1: Any employee who, on March 31, 1978, was entitled to a greater maximum rate of pay than provided by this ordinance, shall retain entitlement to such maximum rate of pay plus any adjustment made to persons in his classification on April 1, 1978. Any adjustment authorized by this section will be proportionally reduced if an employee works less than 40 hours per week." SECTION 3. That Section 1.2 of Ordinance 789 is hereby deleted. • (5) SECTION 4. That Section 11 of Ordinance 789 is hereby amended to read as ^� follo as: "SECTION 11. Effective April 1, 1978, employees in bargaining unit • classifications who are entitled to receive overtime pay in accordance with their bargaining unit agreement shall receive one and one half times their straight time hourly rate of pay for overtime hours worked. The City Manager, upon recommendation of the Department Head and the Personnel Director, may authorize overtime pay to employees in other classifications for work in excess of forty hours per week at the rate of one and one half times their straight time hourly rate of pay for all hours worked in excess of forty hours per week." SECTION 5. That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed. SECTION 6. This ordinance shall become effective as of April 1, 1978. SECTION 7. This ordinance is hereby adopted as an emergency ordinance under the provisions of Section 9 of the City Charter.
