PERCENT (7%) SALARY INCREASE TO CLASSIFICATIONS

ASSOCIATION; PROVIDING FOR A SEVEN PERCENT (77)
SALARY INCREASE TO NON -BARGAINING UNIT CLASSIFICATIONS
EXCLUDING CETA AND CITY HELPER CLASSIFICATIONS;
REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT; AND PROVIDING
FOR PASSAGE AS AN EMERGENCY MEASURE.

SECTION 3. That Section 1,4 of Ordinance No. 789 be and the same is hereby amended to
read as follows:
SECTION 1.4: That the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Miami
Beach and the Miami Beach Employees Benevolent Association, dated
Oke-� k-elay-a€-AgrilT-4978y the 1st day of April, 1980, under the Collective Bargaining Law of
the State of Florida, the provisions of which are incorporated herein by reference, be and the
same is hereby made a part of this Ordinance as though set forth herein in full and in haec verba;
Any conflict between the provisions of this Ordinance and said Collective Bargaining Agreement
shall be resolved by resorting to the terms and provisions of said Collective Bargaining
Agreement, and the proper executive administrators and officials of the City be and they are
hereby authorized and directed to fully implement and execute the terms of said Collective
Bargaining Agreement upon the effective date of this Ordinance.
SECTION 4. That Section 3, paragraph 1 of Ordinance No, 789 be and the same is hereby
amended to read as follows:
SECTION 3; The City Manager is hereby authorized, effective October 8, 1979,
to approve payments of Clothing Allowance for Detectives, and for
other officers of the uniformed force who are regularly detailed to perform their duties in
plain clothes. Such allowance shall be in the amount of Fifty Dollars ($50.00) per month.
The City Manager is authorized to approve payment of a uniform cleaning allowance for employees
in the classification of Industrial Nurse not to exceed Ten-Bellar5- 0 iATAA-) Thirty Dollars ($30.:
per month. The City Manager is authorized to approve payment of a uniform cleaning allowance
to employees in the classifications of Parking Enforcement Specialists I and II not to exceed
Thirty Dollars ($30.00) per month.

SECTION 5. That Section 12 of Ordinance No. 789 be and the same is hereby amended by
adding the following provision:
SECTION 12: Employees in those Miami Beach Employees Benevolent Association
classifications who are required to provide their own personal
tools as part of the job duties shall be entitled to a tool allowance of twenty dollars ($20.00)
per month.
SECTION 6. That Section 13 of Ordinance No. 789 be and the same is hereby amended by
adding paragraph (c):

SECTION 13: (c) Persons employed in the Metered Parking Division of the
Finance Department who are assigned to operate three -wheeled
motor vehicles shall receive additional compensation of
five per cent (570).
That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be and the
same are hereby repealed.
This Ordinance shall go into effect retroactively to April 7, 1980
(commencement of nearest pay period to April 1, 1980).
This Ordinance is hereby adopted as an emergency ordinance under the provisions
of Section 9 of the City Charter.
