City Manager
City of Miami Beach

Dear Mr. Gonzalez:
At Charter Communications, keeping community leaders informed of developments that impact our
telecommunications service is an important part of our relationship with the cities in which we do
business. We want to let you know that, after careful consideration, effective June 15, 2002 we're
modifYing two of our Charter Pipeline Internet service categories' pricing structures as follows:
Current Rate.
June 15.2002 Rate.
Internet Lite..
Residential Classic..
$ 24.95
$ 39.95
$29.95
$44.95
.Rates do not include IaJC. ..Rate includes modem
While not an easy decision, this $5.00 adjustment is necessary because of our steadily increasing
operating costs.
Our other levels of Residential Internet Service will remain the same:
1. Bronze 384K Maximum download speed $34.95
2. Silver 768K Maximum download speed $44.95
3. Gold 1500K Maximum download speed $49.95
We take great pride in providing service to the South Florida and offering technological advancements
that are preparing the region for what broadband telecommunications is poised to offer. Our mission is to
be a vital business, corporate and community partner as well as a technological leader in rolling out
innovative services that bring value to our customer's lives. Charter Communications is thankful to be a
part of your community and looks forward to serving South Florida's technology needs for many years to
come.
If you have any questions about these upcoming changes, please feel free to contact me at your
convenience at (305) 861-8069.
