:'ACH'S FIRST ANNUAL HURRICANE FAIR
As part of the Administration's 2001-2002 identified priorities to provide community
outreach, education and involvement, Neighborhood Services Department is hosting the
City of Miami Beach's First Annual Hurricane Fair, to be held on Saturday, June 1,2002,
from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, along the 1000 block of Lincoln Road Mall.
This initiative is important to the safety and well being of our residents and I am
encouraging the full participation of all pertinent departments. The goal of the Hurricane
Fair is to provide our residents with hurricane information such as, hurricane preparedness,
evacuation and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training. However,
departments are encouraged to bring any departmental literature which residents may find
useful and informative. It is also a wonderful opportunity for departments to promote and
discuss current and future department initiatives. Therefore, please join us on Saturday,
June 1,2002, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., as we implement a new resident initiative and
begin a new tradition in Miami Beach.
Thank you for your continued support. Should you have any additional questions or
concems, please do not hesitate to-contact my office.
