RESOLUTION NO. 1720
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
CALLING AN ELECTION AT WHICH THERE
SHALL BE SUBMITTED TO A VOTE THE
MATTER OF THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS OF
SAID CITY IN THE SUM OF 4300,000.00
FOR THE PURPOSE IN THIS RESOLUTION
STATED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
deems it advisable to submit to the voters entitled to vote upon
bond issues, whether bonds of said City in the amount and for the
municipal purpose set forth in the election notice provided by
the following Resolution:-
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, as follows:-
Section 1. That subject to the authorization of the duly
registered and qualified voters of said City, who are freeholders
therein, and who are owners of and pay taxes on real property

within said City, participating in the election which is hereinafter
called, the negotiable coupon bonds of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, shall be issued in the sum and for the purpose stated in
the notice of election, provided in Section 7 of this Resolution.
,t. gection 2, That a special election is hereby called and
directed to be held at the City Hall, in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, from 8:OO otclock A. M. , until sundown on the 13th day
of March, A. D. , 1928, for the purpose of submitting to a vote
of the duly registered and qualified voters of said City, who are
freeholders therein, the question whether bonds of said City shall

election provided for in Section 7 of this Resolution.-

Section 3. That the City Clerk who is also supervisor of

registration, open the registration books of said City from 10:00
otclock A. M. , until 5:00 otclock P. M. , each day, Sundays excepted,
from this date until March 3rd, 1928, for the purpose of registering
those persons who are qualified to register for such election.

Section 1-. That J. G. Nagengast , Hugh Larrick and A. L.
Bowes, be and they are hereby appointed Inspectors and Milton
H. Farr is hereby appointed Clerk, for the purpose of holding

which names the City Clerk shall certify to the Mayor.
Section 5. That said Inspectors and Clerk shall certify

for four consecutive weeks next preceding the date of said election,
,, in The Sun, a newspaper published in Miami Beach, Florida, and of
general circulation in said City.

election at said time and place.

until 5:00 o' clock P. M. , every day, Sunday excepted, from this date,
