A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING, DIRECT-
ING AND ORDERING FLORIDA POWER & LIGHT COM-
PANY TO INSTALL AND SERVE ADDITIONAL STREET
LIGHTS IN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
TO BE INSTALLED AND SERVED IN ACCORDANCE WITH
THE MUNICIPAL STREET LIGHTING AGREEMENT DATED
THE 19th DAY OF MAY, 1924, NOW IN EFFECT BE-
TWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AND
THE COMPANY, AND THE SUPPLEMENTARY AGREEMENTS
THERETO , IF ANY, AND CONSTITUTING THE PASSAGE
AND ADOPTION AND THE DELIVERY OF A CERTIFIED
COPY OF THIS RESOLUTION TO FLORIDA POWER &
LIGHT COMPANY A WRITTEN NOTICE TO AND AN OR-
DER UPON THAT COMPANY TO INSTALL AND SERVE
SUCH ADDITIONAL OVERHEAD AND "WHITE WAY" STREET
LIGHTS UNDER SAID AGREEMENT , AND SUPPLEMENTARY
AGREEMENTS THERETO, IF ANY.
WHEREAS, a Municipal Street Lighting Agreement dated
May 19th, 1924, is now in effect between the City of Miami
Beach , Florida, and the Florida Power & Light Company,
which provides for the installation of and service to addi-
tional street lights by the Florida Power & Light Company,
upon receiving written notice from the City, and
WHEREAS, it has been deemed necessary and advisable
to have additional overhead bracket type street lights in-
stalled and served and/or additional "White Way" street
lights installed and served in the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, under said Agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, hereby authorizes, di-
rects and orders the Florida Power & Light Company to in-
stall and serve the following street lights within the cor-
porate limits of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, in accord-
ance with the terms and conditions of the Municipal Street
Lighting Agreement dated May 19th, 1924, and Supplementary
Agreements thereto , if any, now in effect between the City
and the Company:
Increase from 100 Candle-power lamps to 250
Candle-power lamps 39 "White Way" street
lights on Alton Road between 5th Street and
Lincoln Road.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution when duly
passed and adopted and a certified copy delivered to Florida
Power & Light Company be and is hereby declared to be writ-
ten notice to and an order upon Florida Power & Light Com-
pany to install and aerve the additional bracket type over-
head and/or "White Way" street lights as aforesaid, under
said Agreement.
