SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to R:'uest for Proposals (RFP) No. 2016 -166 -KB, for
Design/Build Services for Right o Way Infrastructure Improvement Program for
Neighborhood No. 5: La Gorce Neighborhood Phase II
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Proposals (RFP) No. 2016 -166 -KB, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified firm(s) for
Design/Build Services for Right of Way Infrastructure Improvement Program for Neighborhood No. 5: La
Gorce Neighborhood.
The City received Phase II proposals, pursuant to this RFP, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. The
responsive proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria
established in the RFP.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Rodney Knowles, Director, Public Works Department, Greenspace Division, City of Miami Beach
• Joel Rattner, Resident, City of Miami Beach
• Mina Samadi, Senior Capital Projects Coordinator, Capital Improvement Projects, City of
Miami Beach
• Luis Soto, Assistant City Engineer, Public Works Department, City of Miami Beach
• Randy Weisburd, Resident, City of Miami Beach
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Eugene Egemba, Civil Engineer III, Public Works Department, Engineering Division, City of
Miami Beach
• Josiel Ferrer, Transportation Manager, Transportation Department, City of Miami Beach
• Margarita Wells, Environmental Resource Manager, Environment and Sustainability, City of
Miami Beach
