A'RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH DIRECT-
ING NOTICE FOR THE SALE OF
0 255 ,000 PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT BONDS
AUTHORIZED BY RESOLUTION NO. 1342.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUIXIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
ECTIOLL . That the City Clerk is hereby directed
to publish at least ten days before the date for receipt
of bids hereinafter stated, in The Sun, a newspaper pub-
lished in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, a notice
calling for bids for $ 255 ,000 Public Improvement Bonds
authorized by Resolution No. 1342 , and is authorized to
publish such notice in some financial journal or journ-
als published in New York City, which notice shall be
in substantially the following form:

Sealed bids will be received by the City Council,
addressed to the undersigned and marked "Proposal for
Bonds" , until 10:00 o' clock A. M. , June 26th, 1929 , for
the following bonds of the City of Miami Beach:
S 255 ,000 Public Improvement Bonds (part of an
authorized issue of 4 2,654,000, heretofore validated
by decree of the Circuit Court , the balance of which
have either been previously sold or are cancelled) ma-
turing annually July 1, $ 5 ,000 1931, $ 10,000 1932,
4 14 ,000 1933 , '4 16 ,000 1934 and 1935 , 4 17 ,000 1936 to
1939 , inclusive , and $ 18,000 1940 to 1946, inclusive.
No option of prior payment reserved. All bonds
dated July 1 , 1926, with January 1, 1930 and subsequent
coupons *attached.
Bidder to name interest rate not exceeding six
per cent in a multiple of one quarter of one per cent .Prin

cipal and semi-annual interest payable in gold at the
United States Mortgage and Trust Company, New York City.
Denomination 41' 1 ,000, registerable as. to principal only;
general city obligations; unlimited tax levy.
Legal opinion of Caldwell and Raymond, New York City;
certification of bonds by United States Mortgage and Trust
Company , New York City.
Bids must be upon a printed form which, with addition-
al information as to the City, the bonds and the conditions
of bidding, including requirement for certified check for
two per cent of the par value of bonds being bid for will
be furnished by said Trust Company or the undersigned.
The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.

printed a prospectus containin7, statistical matter, a
form upon which bids must be made , and a notice calling
for bids for said bonds , which notice shall be in sub-
stantially the following form:

cipal and semi-annual interest payable in gold at the
United States Mortgage and Trust Company, New York City.
Denomination 4 1,000, registerable as to principal only;
general city obligations; unlimited tax levy.
These bonds comprise portions of three issues se-
parately voted, each bond containing a recital showing
the particular public improvement for which it is is sued.
The amounts and maturities, with a brief statement of the
purposes of issuance, are:
$ 30,000 for erecting a fire station, 4 2 ,000
1932 to 1946, inclusive.
4103 ,000 for constructing a bridge, $ 3 ,000
1931 and 1932, 4 6,000 1933 , 4 7 ,000 1934 to
1946, inclusive.
$ 37 ,000 for constructing a bridge , $ 2 ,000
1932 to 1939 , inclusive, $ 3 ,000 1940 to 1946,
inclusive.

These bonds will be prepared under the supervision
of the United States Mortgage and Trust Company, New York
City, which will certify as to the genuineness of the
signature of the officials and the seal impressed there-
on. Purchaser will be furnished approving legal opinion
of. Caldwell and Raymond, New York City.
Bids are required on forms which will be furnished
by said Trust Company or the undersigned and must be en-
closed in a sealed envelope marked "Proposal for Bonds'' ,
and be accompanied by a certified check for two per cent
of the Par value af bonds being bid for , payable to the
order of the City Clerk and drawn upon an incorporated
bank or trust company. The bonds will be delivered at
Place of purchaser' s choice on or about July 17th, 1929.

force and effect immediately upon its adoption.
