mission
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to inform the Mayor and City Commission that the
Office of Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) is continuing neighborhood improvements in
Lower North Bay Road. The Street Lighting Installation Project will commence on December 11,
2017 and is anticipated to be completed by April 2018.
We will be installing approximately 135 decorative pedestrian street lights. These lights will be
an asset to the community by providing consistent aesthetics, additional illumination and
enhanced pedestrian safety.
The installation will occur along North Bay Road from 20 Street to Alton Road, including the
following intersecting streets: North Michigan, West 21 Street, West 23 Street, West 27 Street
and West 29 Street.
The attached advisory is being distributed throughout the neighborhood via e-mail and door to
door. During the month of October 2017, information about the street lighting project was
disseminated to the neighborhood via e-mail and door to door. We have also been in contact
with a representative of the Homeowners Association and have kept them informed of the
project status and upcoming street lighting installation.
Should you have any questions, please contact David Martinez at 305-673-7071.
