A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ON THE
DEATH OF THE LATE FIREMAN EDWARD C.
CAMPBELL.
WHEREAS, The Supreme Architect of the Universe
has, on May Thirtieth, Nineteen Hundred Thirty, seen
fit to suddenly remove from amongst us a very highly
revered member of our Fire Department, and
WHEREAS, the said First Class Fireman Edward C.
Campbell has, since November in the year Nineteen
Hundred Twenty-Six, very efficiently and faithfully
served our City in this capacity, at all times con-
ducting himself in a gentlemanly and courteous manner,
being of a modest and unassuming nature, thus endear-
ing himself to those who were his associates in the
Fire Department and to all with whom he came in con-
tact ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUN-
CIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, That we, not
only for ourselves but also on behalf of the citizenry
of our community, hereby proudly acknowledge the ser-
vices of Mr . Edward C. Campbell, who prior to his con-
nection with our City bore a one hundred percent record
for years of Fire Department service in Powder Plants
of the United States Government , and we gratefully ac-
knowledge his very able and devoted service rendered
our community, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That we hereby express to
the mother of our late friend, Mrs. Clara Campbell, and
to the other members of his family our sincere regret
at his passing and our deep sympathy in their sorrow.
