A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That after careful consideration thereof, that
our Senator, the Honorable John W. Watson, and our
Representatives, the Honorable Messrs. S. Pierre
Robineau, Daniel Chappell and J. Walter Kehoe, be and
they are hereby requested to oppose House Bill No.558,
being a Bill introduced providing for a tax of One-
half Cent (-1¢) per kilowatt hour on all electric cur-
rent used in the State of Florida, said tax to be col-
lected by the companies rendering said service, but to
be paid by the consumer thereof.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this reso-
lution be sent to our Senator, our Representatives and
our Governor, the Honorable Doyle E. Carlton.
