Resolution 2597 RESOLUTION NO. 2597 SANITARY SEWER IM- SANITARY SEWER DIS- PROVELIENTS SR-160 & 161 TRICTS SR-160 & 161 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, met on the 15th day of March, 1933, pursuant to the notice under Section 29 of the Charter of the said City to hear all written objections to the confirmation of the preliminary assessment rolls of Sanitary Sewer Improvements SR-1b0 and SR- 161 , Districts SR-160 and SR-161 , by any person whose property is described in said preliminary assessment rolls, which rolls were filed with said City Council on March 1st , 1933, and WHEREAS, the City Council , having received no written ob- jections filed to the confirmation of said preliminary assess- ment rolls by any person whose property is described in said rolls, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Miami Beach, Florida, that the prima facie assessments as indicated on said preliminary assessment rolls, be and are, in all things confirmed and sustained against any and all lots or parcels of ground described therein except as to the following described lots or parcels against which said assessment is modified and reduced, the amount by which said assessment is hereby reduced being hereby charged to the City at large, so that the assess- ment shall be as follows, it being hereby decided that the spe- cial benefits to said lots, on account of the reasons given, are those benefits to-said -lots , on acco -:f-the reasons given, a e .-torose boneftts as stated below, after such reduction and modifi- cation: MODIFICATION AND REDUCTION OF ASSESS- MENTS ON ASSESSMENT ROLL FOR SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT SR 160 Description Reason for Adjustment Original Assessment Adjusted As- sessment LAKE VIEW SUBDIVISION AS PER PLAT RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK NO. 14, PAGE 42 OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF DADE COUN- TY. Lot 7, Block 23 Fully Assessed SR-158 1251 $250.00 None BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the sums and amounts assessed against each of the lots or parcels of ground described in said preliminary assessment rolls , and the sums and amounts against each of the lots or parcels of ground therein set forth or as herein adjusted, are less than the amounts each lot or parcel of ground is benefited by said improvements , and that the total cost of said various improvements in the following sums: SR-160 $924.15 SR-161 g2.85 are hereby approved and confirmed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that ten days after this confirma- tion of said assessment rolls the same be delivered to the City Clerk, and the City Clerk is hereby ordered, thirty days after this date of this resolution, to make collection of the assess- ments therein as required by law, provided, however, that the owner of any lot or parcel of land which shall have been assess- ed in excess of $25.00 may, before the lapse of said thirty days , file with the City Clerk, his written undertaking, waiving all irregularities and illegality in connection with said assess- ments against said lot or parcel and agree to pay the same in equal installments in each of the five succeeding years, at the times in said years at hich the general City taxes are due and payable, with interest upon said deferred installments at the rate of six per cent. per annum from date of said confirmation, which said five year petiod is hereby fixed and determined by the City Council.
