Resolution 2816 RESOLUTION NO. 281.6
WHEREAS, it has come to our attention that the
'411 Peninsula Terminal Company of Miami Beach, Florida,
proposes to make application for a loan of Federal funds
with which to deepen the water alongside their present
slip and to seek assistance from the Federal Government
in providing a Turning Basin in the Miami Ship Channel
at the point of land commonly known as Causeway Termi—
nal, lying immediately south of the west approach to
the East viaduct of the County Causeway, and
WHEREAS, it is proposed that this improvement
shall be made simultaneously with the deepening of the
Miami Ship Channel, contract for which is about to be
let,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, in regular meeting
assembled, that this Terminal and Turning Basin project
be and it is hereby endorsed as of vital importance to
the welfare and growth of the City of Miami Beach and sur—
rounding territory and we sincerely trust that this pro—
posed improvement may be made possible and be completed
at an early date.
