Parking
The Revitalization Strategy envisions the need for adequate parking
spaces to service the anticipated and existing development ( i.e., existing marina, north and
south upland development areas)at or near the entry to the proposed major arterial loop on
Alton Road south of Miami Beach Boulevard(Fifth Street). The necessary parking facilities,
both public and private, may be integrated with the proposed public development or be
provided, in part, on a separate site with sufficient proximity to the private development. If
parking is publicly provided and operated, this will be taken into account in lease
negotiations. It is likely that some parking will be provided directly on site by the private
sector, with the remainder provided by the public sector.
