SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Reuest for Qualifications (RFQ) 2018 -007 -JC, for
Personnel Testing and Consulting S. ices for Police and Fire Entry Level Positions
and Classified Promotional Classifications
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Qualifications (RFQ) 2018 -007 -JC, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified firm(s) to:
1) provide services in order to develop, administer, and review testing programs to determine
qualified applicants for police and fire entry level positions, and for classified promotional
classifications; and 2) provide consulting services in order to develop job analysis metrics, entry
level and promotional tests, scoring, minimum job requirements, and background test requirements,
for sworn and non -sworn positions.
The City will receive proposals pursuant to this RFQ on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. The
responsive proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria
established in the RFQ.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:

• Vincent Canosa, Chief of Ocean Rescue, Fire Department, City of Miami Beach

• Ramon Suarez, Human Resource Administrator II, Human Resources, City of Miami Beach
