RESOLUTION NO. 73-14123
WHEREAS , extensive discussions and negotiations have
been had between the duly authorized representatives of Metro-
politan Dade County and the City of Miami Beach for the entry
into , and the consummation of, a joint project between said
County and said City for the construction and installation
of appropriate and modernized street lighting facilities for
the designated arterial streets and highways within the City,
and
WHEREAS , such discussions and negotiations have
culminated in a proposed agreement between said County and said
City providing for the terms and conditions under which such
street lighting would be installed and thereafter maintained,
and
WHEREAS , an appropriate agreement setting forth the
terms and conditions under which such arterial street lighting
program will be accomplished, the terms of which agreement
are familiar with the City Council , and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be in the best interests of the City of
Miami Beach, its residents and inhabitants that said agreement
be entered into;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk be and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute
the said agreement in the name of and on behalf of the said
City , and the disbursing officers of the City are hereby
authorized and directed to disburse the monies required by the
terms of said agreement from funds of the City available for
such purpose .
