Resolution 74-14271 RESOLUTION NO. 74-14271
WHEREAS , the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, entered into
a Lease Agreement with MIAMI BEACH SYMPHONY, dated July 2 , 1973,
and
WHEREAS , MIAMI BEACH SYMPHONY has requested that the
MIAMI BEACH SYMPHONY use the Miami Beach Auditorium instead of
the Miami Beach Convention Hall referred to in said Agreement and
also will add one more concert day to the series , to wit:
June 23 , 1974 , making for a total of ten (10) Pop Concerts , and
WHEREAS , the requested new date is open and available
and no loss to the CITY of rental is involved in the requested
additional date , and
WHEREAS , all other terms and conditions of the
existing Agreement shall remain the same except the payment terms
to read as follows :
"Lessee agrees to pay the sum of Three Thousand
Five Hundred and no/100 ($3 , 500 . 00) Dollars
total minimum guarantee on basis of Three
Hundred Fifty and no/100 ($350 . 00) Dollars
or twelve (12%) per cent of the gross receipts ,
after taxes , whichever sum is greater, for
each of the above concerts" ,
and
WHEREAS , a letter, signed by the Manager of the
Auditorium and Convention Hall , dated February 7 , 1974 , amending
the existing Agreement between MIAMI BEACH SYMPHONY and the
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, has been mailed to and accepted by MIAMI
BEACH SYMPHONY;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the letter dated
February 7 , 1974 , signed by the Manager of the Auditorium and
Convention Hall , amending the existing Agreement between MIAMI
BEACH SYMPHONY and the CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, be and the same is
hereby accepted and approved in the name of and on behalf of
said CITY.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 20thday of February , 1974 .
