Al Head and Bob Nulf Gentlemen: Subject: Grant No. 75-019 As you are aware, the City of Miami Beach through its Fine Arts Board recently filed an application with your office for a 50% matching fund grant to help finance its First Annual Miami Beach Festival of the Arts. At the time of filing the application, the Board members were inexperienced in conducting an art festival . However, subsequent to that date, Board members have made efforts to familiarize themselves with festival management 1 by visiting other art festivals in the state, speaking with directors of those festivals, and generally learning as much as possible about conducting an art festival . They now believe some changes in the original proposed festival are in order. To wit, the Fine Arts Board respectfully submits this letter to the Fine Arts Council as an amendment to the original grant application. The Board believes the amendments mentioned below will serve to guarantee a visual and performing art festival of the caliber and magnitude outlined in the original application, but at considerably less cost. The following amended information is listed in the same order as followed in the original application: PART 1 Information remains the same except as follows: Project Director - Nancy Newman (name change from Ruthfield due to marriage) .
