RESOLUTION ORDERING WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT
FOR BOTH SIDES OF 15th TERRACE FROM BAY
ROAD TO ALTON ROAD, AND DESIGNATING SAID
IMPROVEMENT TO BE WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT WW-149: AND PROVIDING FOR SAID
IMPROVEMENT TO BE AN ASSESSABLE PROJECT
IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTIONS 29 AND 30 OF
THE CITY CHARTER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA :
That the construction of the following described improvement
is hereby ordered to be made : the City Council hereby setting
forth its intention to proceed under Section 29 and 30 of the
City Charter :
WW-149: Both sides of Fifteenth Terrace from
Bay Road to Alton Road.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting
system of ornamental posts and lamps at
approximately two-hundred eighty (280)
feet apart on each side together with
necessary transformers and other
appurtenances and with underground
connections for lighting.
As said Terrace and Roads are shown on
Plats recorded in Plat Book 16, Page 1,
Plat Book 6, Page 5, of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida, as as
Fifteenth Terrace is named and designated
in City of Miami Beach Ordinance No. 232 .
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file
with the City Clerk Plans and Specifications of said improve-
ment and an estimate of the cost thereof, including an
estimate of the cost of the expenses of preliminary and other
surveys, the inspection and superintendence of the work, the
preparation of Plans and Specifications and Estimates, the
printing and publication of Notices and Proceedings, the
preparation of Bonds, interest during construction, legal
services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses necessary
and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein
provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against
each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the
cost of such improvement is hereby designated as District
WW-149 and is described as follows :
All the lots or parcels of land abutting
Fifteenth Terrace from Bay Road to Alton
Road.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property
the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City
such portion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to
the total cost as the length of the street intersections bears
to the total street frontage within the district.

The improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assess-
ments and bonds as Whiteway Improvement
against which assessments therefore may be-mad and the coop?rty
thereof shall be designated as District WW-l49e for the cost
