This Letter to the Commission is to inform you of a recent appointment I have made in the
Administration. Effective Monday, November 4,2002, Graham Winick will join the City of
Miami Beach as the Film and Print Coordinator.
Graham brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and energy to the position. He has
worked for the Miami-Dade County Film Office as well as the New York City Mayor's Office
of Film, Theater and Broadcasting. Most recently, Graham has spent the last fours years
developing feature films for a major producer in Los Angeles, California.
There were over 90 candidates who applied for the position and a selection committee
comprised of three City staff members, the City's Production Industry Council Chair Tammy
Green, and the Ocean Drive Association President Marlo Courtney narrowed the pool
down to fourteen candidates who were interviewed. Of the fourteen, two were
recommended and after speaking to both of these candidates, Graham was identified as
the best candidate for the job.
Please join me in welcoming Graham to our team. I am sure that you will find him to be
highly qualified and professional. I have attached a copy of his resume for your
information. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
