WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA :
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Section 29 and 30 of the City
Charter : WW-156, Both sides of West Twenty-First (21st) Street,
West Twenty-Second (22nd) Street, West Twenty-Third (23rd) Street,
West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street, from Bay Avenue to Lake Avenue;
Bay Avenue from West Twenty-First (21st) Street to West Twenty-
Fourth (24th) Street; Shelter Avenue from West Twenty-Third (23rd)
Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street; Sunset Drive from
West Twenty-First (21st) Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street;
Lucerne Avenue from West Twenty-First (21st) Street to West Twenty-
Fourth (24th) Street; Regatta Avenue from West Twenty-First (21st)
Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street; Lake Avenue from West
Twenty-First (21st) Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of ornamental posts
and lamps at approximately three hundred (300) feet apart on each
side, together with necessary transformers and other appurtenances
and with underground connections for lighting, as said Avenues,
Streets and Drives are shown in Plats recorded in Plat Book 40,
Page 8; and Plat Book 40, Page 23 of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk Plans and Specifications of said improvement and
an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the
cost of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the in-
spection and superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans
and specifications and estimates, the printing and publication of
notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during
conttruction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other
expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and
work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed
against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost
of such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-156 and is
described as follows :
All of the lots of parcels of land abutting West Twenty-First (21st)
Street, West Twenty-Second (22nd) Street, West Twenty-Third (23rd)
Street, West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street from Bay Avenue to Lake
Avenue; Bay Avenue from West Twenty-First (21st) Street to West
Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street; Sunset Drive from West Twenty-First
(21st) Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street; Lucerne Avenue
from West Twenty-First (21st) Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th)
Street; Regatta Avenue from West Twenty-First (21st) Street to West
Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street; Shelter Avenue from West Twenty-Third
(23rd) Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th) Street; Lake Avenue
from West Twenty-First (21st) Street to West Twenty-Fourth (24th)
Street.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property,
the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such
portion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total
cost as the length of the street intersections bears to the total
street frontage within the district.

The Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assess-
ments and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-156, and the property
against which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof
shall be designated as District WW-156 .
