WHEREAS , it is fitting and appropriate to close this
Resolution in the manner which will be consonant with the culture
of our beloved Mayor, and we recite the words of the Poet
Laureate as follows :
Sunset and evening star
One clear call for me;
And may there be no moaning of the bar
When I put out to sea
But such a tide as moving seems asleep
Too full for sound and foam
When that which drew from the boundless deep
Turns again home
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark;
And may there be no sadness of farewell
When I embark
For though from out our bourne of
Time and Place
1 The flood may bear me far
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crossed the bar.
and to close with these words of the immortal Bard:
--Good-night, sweet prince,
And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, for themselves and for each and
