Resolytion accepting results of November 5, 1974
election
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, the Certificate of two members of
said City Council and the City Clerk as the Canvassing Committee of
said City Council of the results of the canvass of the returns of the
Special Election held in said City on November 5, 1974, and
WHEREAS, the said Canvassing Committee has duly canvassed
said returns and certified the returns of said Election,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that it hereby adopts the said
Certificate as to the results of said Election and it is hereby
ordered that the same Certificate and this Resolution be recorded in
the minutes of this meeting as a permanent record of the results of
said Election.
AND IT IS FURTHER FOUND, DETERMINED AND RESOLVED that the
following candidate for Councilman, Group IV, received the highest
number of votes cast, and is hereby declared ELECTED:
FOR CITY COUNCILMAN
GROUP IV
HAROLD (HAL) SPAET
AND IT IS FURTHER DULY FOUND, DETERMINED AND RESOLVED THAT
THE BOND QUESTION WAS APPROVED.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 7th day of November, 1974.

We, the undersigned, two members of the City Council and the City Clerk of
the City of Miami Beach, do hereby certify that we have made a canvass of the
returns of the certificates of the inspectors and Clerks who held and conducted
a Special Election in Miami Beach, Florida, on November 5, 1974, such canvass
having been made solely, exclusively and entirely from such returns; and DO HERE-
BY CERTIFY that as a result of said canvass we have found and do hereby declare
the result of said election to be as follows:
That there was a total of 34, 172 votes cast.

annum, for the purpose of constructing the City' s Bike Path System, in conjunction
with the Dade County "Bikeways Plan"?
8,320 votes were cast For the Bonds.

CERTIFICATION is hereby made that on November 7, 1974, Deputy Clerks
of the City of Miami Beach received from the Dade County Elections Division
a total of 487 of which 462 were valid ABSENTEE BALLOTS for the
November 5, 1974, Special Election.
These ballots were tallied by Deputy Clerks under our supervision.
The tabulation of the 462 ballots is shown on the Master Return Sheet
herewith presented.
