Commissioner Steinberg requested the City Attorney's Office to draft an amendment to the
enforcement provisions of the existing valet parking ordinance. The City Attorney drafted
an amended ordinance and placed it on the October 23, 2002, Commission Agenda (Item
No. R5F). Item No. R5F was not reached. In any case, the Administration recommends
that this item be referred to the TPC (Transportation and Parking Committee) for their
review and comment. The item will be heard at the November 4, 2002, TPC Meeting.
Upon TPC's review, the item will be placed on the agenda of the next scheduled
Commission Meeting (November 13, 2002).
