Zig Zag Club formed in Hay & Willet ' s Bicycle Store on
August 8, 1890, moving to the corner of Washington and Alabama
Streets over what is now the Indiana Dry Goods Company store;
later to the second floor of what was later known as the Lorraine
Hotel, Washington Street and Capitol Avenue, opposite the State
House ; then to North Pennsylvania Street below North Street on the
east side of Pennsylvania, which site was later covered by the
North Building of the Shortridge H gh Schoo; and later to a house 1
on the west side of North Delaware Street between Ohio and Wabash I
Streets in the rear of the house adjoining the dressing rooms and
stage of, the old Empire Theatre. The Club occupied this site when J

it disbanded about 1895 or 1896. I
