RESOLUTION REQUESTING, APPROVING AND
AUTHORIZING THE MIAMI BEACH RAILWAY
COMPANY TO REMOVE ITS RAILS, TROLLEY
AND SPAN WIRES OPERATED IN CONNECTION
WITH ITS STREET RAILWAY SYSTEM ON
WASHINGTON AVENUE, BETWEEN FIRST STREET
AND LINCOLN ROAD, MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA,
AND SETTING FORTH PROVISIONS RELATING
THERETO.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Miami
Beach does hereby request and give its approval and authority
to The Miami Beach Railway Company to remove at the Railway
Company's cost and expense, the rails, trolley and span wires
in connection with its street railway on Washington Avenue,
between First Street and Lincoln Road, Miami Beach, Florida,
which rails and wires are not now in use because of the change
from street railway means and methods of transportation to
gasoline motor vehicles, in accordance with (a) Resolution
No. 2610, passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach on the 27th day of April, 1933, pursuant to the
provisions of Ordinance No. 205, passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Miami Beach on the 9th day of April,
1924, and (b) Order No. 1142 of the Railroad Commission of the
State of Florida, bearing date of May 18, 1933.
Section 2. That this Resolution shall be in force
and effect from and after its passage and adoption and its accep-
tance by The Miami Beach Railway Company.
Section 3. That none of the rights, privileges or
franchises granted to The Miami Beach Railway Company by Ordi-
nance No. 205, passed and adopted by the City Council of Miami
Beach on April 9, 1924, are affected in any manner by the passage
of this Resolution or the acceptance thereof by The Miami Beach
Railway Company or the removal of said rails and wires from

Washington Avenue between First Street and Lincoln Road, Miami
Beach, Florida.
Section 4. That this Resolution shall not repeal any
part of OrdinancesNo. 205 and No. 251, or any part of other
ordinances or resolutions of the City of Miami Beach concerning
transportation.
Section 5. That since The Miami Beach Railway Company
has agreed to the said removal of said rails and wires, such
removal shall be made at such time as may be designated by the
City Manager of the City of Miami Beach, Florida.
