Resolution 4081 RESOLUTION NO. 4081 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, MAKING A TAX LEVY FOR THE TAX YEAR 1937, AND FIXING THE MILLAGE ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1. That there be, and the same is hereby levied, a tax for the year, A. D. , 1937, on all real and personal property located within the corporate limits of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, as follows: (A) For the purpose of carrying on the Government or Administra- tion and Finance Department of said City and to provide funds for the support and maintenance of the different City Departments, as follows: Fire; Police; Beach Patrol; Engineering; Street and Bridges; Sewer; Parks and Docks; Water; Building Inspec- tion; Maintenance Public Buildings; Health; Sanitary; Play- grounds; Public Library; Golf Course; Lighting City; Telephone Exchange; Miscellaneous; and a reserve for tax discounts and abatements and for uncollected taxes; Nineteen (19) mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City, with the exception of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, pursuant to the provisions of an Act known as "Senate Bill #123" , adopted by the State Legislature in 1935. (B) For Publicity and Advertising purposes, Two (2) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of allof said property in said City, with the exception of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, pursuant to the provisions of an Act known as "Senate Bill #123" , adopted by the State Legislature in 1935, One (1) Mill of which was authorized by a majority vote of freeholders at an election held for this purpose on July 21st, 1936. (C) For the purpose of paying principal and interest due on all outstanding bonds of said City that were issued prior to the passage of the Homestead Exemption Act, and for a reserve for tax discounts and abatements and for uncollected taxes, Four and Seven Tenths (4.7) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all property in sold City. (D) For the purpose of paying principal and interest due on all outstanding bonds of said City that were issued since the passage of the Homestead Exemption Act, and for a reserve for tax discounts and abatements and for uncollected taxes, Two and Three Tenths (2. 3) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City with the exception of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead. Exemption, pursuant to the pro- visions of an Act known as "Senate Bill #123" , adopted by the State Legislature in 1935. SECTION 2. That a certified cnpy of this resolution be delivered to the following officers of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, namely: City Tax Assessor, City Manager, and City Auditor.
