made during the panel's March 30, 2018 meeting.

Motion 1: In an effort to activate meaningful cultural programming, The MDW Panel will meet with hoteliers and
possible promoters to coordinate activations within Hotels.

Motion 2: In order to assess and evaluate the success of recommendations made by the panel, members
would like to request that the City provide members a room during the 2018 Memorial Day Weekend.

Motion 3: The MDW Panel has requested that Mickey Markoff, Salute to America's Heroes event producer,
provide a detailed budget and expenses including back-up details for the planned concert.

Motion 4: As part of programming recommendations made by the panel, members requested that City staff
coordinate and curate a barbecue competition in areas south of 10th street.

Motion 5: As an additional programing recommendation, the panel has requested staff coordinate and curate
a celebrity basketball game as well as identify and allocate any necessary funding.

Motion 6: In an effort to broaden our messaging reaardina Memorial Day Weekend and ensure overall
knowledae of modified rules and reaulations, the panel is suoportina an item to be placed on the next
Commission agenda reciuestina funding for national outreach.
