As you know, JCS is in process of modifying the service provision of its Miami Beach Senior Center due to
unfortunate circumstances stemming from low attendance and operating at a significant deficit.
Beginning on or around May 1, 2018, it is JCS' intention to relocate the JCS Congregate Meal Site from
833 -6th Street to 610 Espanola Way which will not only allow more clients to participate in the
restructured program, they will receive a daily hot Kosher meal and opportunity to participate in a
variety of health and wellness activities as stipulated in the current grant funds awarded through the
Miami Dade County Office of Grants Coordination. This transition will provide seniors in the community
with a daily nutritious meal and up to five (5) hours of daily activities, Monday — Friday 10:OOam —
3:OOpm. Former Miami Beach Senior Center clients will be eligible to participate in both the meals and
health and wellness activities programming. This modification in service delivery will allow JCS to serve
more clients at the MBSC than is currently in place and make a larger impact in the Miami Beach
community.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this modification in services on Miami Beach.
