Resolution 4249 RESOLUTION NO. 4249
WHEREAS, on February 7th, 1935, and since our last
meeting, our City has lost a most beloved and distinguished
citizen,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that we do hereby pass
this Resolution commemorating our love and esteem for our
late friend and citizen, Harvey Samuel Firestone, who for
so many years has maintained his hospitable and spacious
home in our midst and who has at all times been associated
with those ideals and civic movements looking towards the
uplifting of our social, religious and educational standards,
and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we do hereby express, not
only for this body, but in behalf of our citizens at large,
sincere sympathy and regret at his passing, as this kindly
man will be sorely missed and long remembered as a real friend
and benefactor, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution
be sent to his loved ones now bereaved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of February, A. D. , 1938.
