Resolution 4491 RESOLUTION NO. 4491
WHEREAS, some Six years ago, one Harry :3td.arnore ( alias
Sitamore) was apprehended in our City and sentenced to serve
forty years in the State prison after admitting various jewel
and gem thefts amounting to around one quarter of a million
dollars, and
WHEREAS, we are advised that said Harry 3idamore has an-
plied to the :State Pardon Board for a pardon, and
WNI.REAS, this body is of the opinion that the premature
release of offenders such as the said Harry 3idamore is not in
the interest of the public good, and that our citizens have a
right to erect that such persons will be made to fully pay the
penalties imposed upon their by the Courts, and
WHEREAS, we feel that his release would tend to discourage
polios officers rho so oourageously make every effort to apprehend
such criminals,
NCo , T}{ .F.r:Folt':, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that we do hereby urge and petition
his Honor Governor Fred P. Cone, and the Honorable members of the
Florida State Hoard of Pardons, to refuse this plea of the said
Harry Sidamore ( alias Sitamore) for a premature pardon, that jus-
tioe may be done, and
13E IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution be
sent to the Honorable Fred P. Cone, tilovernor, and to the Secretary
of the Florida 'State Hoard of Pardons.
