JEAN LANSBURGH, 63 , OWNED SEVERAL MIAMI BEACH HOTELS
Jean K. Lansburgh, widow of hotelman Morris Lansburgh, died Tuesday at
National Children' s Cardiac Hospital after a seven- year battle with cancer.
Mrs. Lansburgh, 63, and her late husband, who died in 1977 , owned and
operated several Miami Beach hotels, including the Eden Roc, San Souci and
Deauville.
She was named woman of the year in 1982 by the American Cancer Society.
A philanthropist, Mrs. Lansburgh had been a benefactor of several
charitable organizations, including the Miami Children Hospital, National
Children' s Cardiac Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical Center and Temple Israel .
She was born in New Rochelle, N.Y. , and moved to Miami Beach in the late
1930s.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard and Mickie; a daughter, Ellen; a
sister, Ruth Fuller; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Riverside Alton Road Chapel.
The family requests donations be made to the Memorial Cancer Fund at
Mount Sinai in her name.
