HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made ; the City Council hereby setting forth its inten-
tion to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
H-227 , JAMES AVENUE, From the north line of the alley north
of Lincoln Road to Seventeenth (17th) Street, to be
paved, and where heretofore -caved, to be repaved, to
a width of fifty ( 50) feet with a bituminous wearing
surface on a ten (10) inch rock base, and improved on
both sides with a concrete curb and gutter.
As said Road, Alley, Avenue and 'Street are shown on
a Plat recorded in Plat Book Two ( 2) , Page Seventy-seven
(?7) of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
and as said Avenue and Street are named and designated
in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence
of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates,
the printing and publication of notices and proceedings, the pre--;aration
of bonds, interest during construction,, legal services, abstracts, etc. ,
and any other expenses necessary and proper in conductinfr• the proceedings
and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed
against each front foot of abutting nrooerty.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Highway Improvement H-227 , and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as District H-227.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 5th DAY OF June A.D.1944.
