BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
BEACH, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That pursuant to the provisions of Section 5—B—b of the
Pension and Retirement Plan Ordinance No. 495, the mem..
bers of the Employees Retirement System of the City of Miami Beach

SECTION 2. That further pursuing said provisions of said Ordinance
No. 498, a Primary and an Election is hereby called to
be held, in Group No. 1, between the hours of 9:00 A. M. , and 5:00
P. M. , on August 28th, 1941 and September 4th, 1941, respectively,
for the purpose of nominating and electing, within said Group No, 1
a Trustee to represent said Group of members on the Board of Trustees,
and
SECTION 3. Tiat the City Clerk be, and he is hereby, instructed to
notify the members of said Group No. 1, of said Primary
and Election, by posting a notice stating the time, place and pur-
pose of said Primary and Election, in a conspicuous place in each
department of the City wherein members of said Group No. 1 are em.
played.
SECTION 4. That, for the purpose of holding and conducting said
Primar°y and Election, the following members are here-
by appointed to serve as Inspectors and Clerk:

SECTION 5. That the City Clerk be and he is hereby appointed as
Supervisor of said Primary and Election, and is here-
by further instructed to provide ballots and all necessary parapher-
nalia to the Inspectors and Clerk hereinabove appointed, to enable
them to properly hold and conduct said Primary and Election, and
SECTION 6. That the two members receiving the highest number of
votes cast at the Primary on A ugust 28th, 1941, shall
be the only candidates for Trustee at the Election on September 4th,
• 1941, provided, however, that should any member receive a majority
of the votes cast at the Primary, he will be thereby declared e..
lected as a Trustee and the Election as herein planned be omitted.
SECTION 7. That immediately after the polls are closed in the
Primary and in the Election herein called, the In.
apectors and Clerk shall proceed to open the ballot box and count
the ballots cast, tabulating the result, and upon completion of
said count they shall promptly certify the result of said Primary
or Election, as the case may be, to the City Clerk in duplicate
on forms to be supplied them by the said City Clerk, and
SECTION g, That the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to
present to the City Council, at their first meeting
following the holding of said Election, the certificate of said
Inspectors and Clerk, as to the result of said Election, whereupon
this Body shall declare the Trustee elected as indicated in said
certificate,

RESOLUTION NO. 5319
HIGHWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
H-260 H-260
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is here--
by ordered to be made ; the City Council hereby setting forth its inten-
tion• to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
H-260 SEVENTY-FIFTH STRETT, From Harding Avenue to
Carlyle Avenue, to be paved, and where heretofore
paved to be repaved to a width of twenty ( 20)
feet with a bituminous wearing surface on an eight
(8) inch rock base .
As said Street and Avenues are shown on a Plat
recorded in Plat Book Thirty-four (34) , Page Four
(4) , and in Plat Book Eight (8) , Page Forty-one
of the Public Records of Dade County,Florida,
and as said Avenues and Street are named and desig-
nated in Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk Plans and Specifications of said improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of preliminary
and other surveys, the inspection and su.)erintenderce of the work, the
preparation of plans and specifications and estimates, the printing
and publication of notices, the preparation of bonds, interest during
construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses
necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and ?:•ork herein pro-
vided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front
foot of abutting property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and
bonds as Highway Improvement H-260, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be desig-
nated as District H-260.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 16th DAY OF July _ A.D. 1941.
