Resolution 5569 RESOLUTION NO. 5569 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, MAKING A TAX LEVY FOR THE TAX YEAR 1942, AND FIX- ING THE MILLAGE ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY IN SAID CITY. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA : SECTION 1. That there be, and the same is hereby levied, a tax for the year, A. D. , 1942, on all real and personal property located within the corporate limits of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, as follows : (A) For the purpose of carrying on the Government or Administra- tion and Finance Department of said City and to provide funds for the support and maintenance of the different City Departments, as follows : Fire; Police ; Beach Patrol; Engineering; Streets and Bridges; Sewer; Parks & Docks ; Water; Building Inspection; Maintenance Public Buildings; Health & Welfare; Hospital Opera- tions; Waste Collection and Disposal; Recreation; Library and Art Center; Golf Course (Normandy Isle) ; Lighting City; Tele- phone Exchange; and Miscellaneous; and a reserve for tax dis- counts and abatements and for uncollected taxes; Seventeen and nine-tenths (1'7.9) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City, with the exception of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, pursuant to the provisions of an Act known as "Senate Bill #123" , adopted by the State Legislature in 1935, and as later amended. (B) For Publicity and Advertising purposes, and a reserve for tax discounts and abatements, One Mill (1) on the dollar of the taxable cash value of allvf said property in said City with the exception of such properties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, as explained above . (C ) For the purpose of paying principal and interest due on all outstanding bonds of said City that were issued prior to the passage of the Homestead Exemption Act, with the exception of certain bonds being refunded by Resolution No. 5567, passed and adopted July 9th, 1942, and for a reserve for tax discounts and abatements and for uncollected taxes Two and Eight-tenths (2.8) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all property in said City. (D) For the purpose of paying principal and interest due on all outstanding bonds of said City that were issued since the passage of the Homestead Exemption Act, and for a reserve for tax discounts and abatements and for uncollected taxes, Two and three- tenths (2.3) Mills on the dollar of the taxable cash value of all of said property in said City with the exception of such prop- erties as have been allowed a Homestead Exemption, as explained above .
