Resolution 5627 RESOLUTION NO. 5627 omni-LIAo, it has been suggested to the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that said Council cooperate in an effort to secure the passage of such legislation as may be neces- sary to merge the office and duties of the Dade County Tax Assessor with the offices and duties of the various tax assessors of the municipalities within the County, and to merge the office and duties of the Dade County Tax Collector with the offices and duties of the various tax collectors of the municipalities within the County; and 'iuInifu2AS, it appears to the City Council that the advantages which might accrue to the taxpayers of the City of Miami Beach from such a consolidation or merger are more than offset by the disad- vantages to such taxpayers which would necessarily accrue, i10';4, 1'n112E1i'ORh, BE IT R SOLV D by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that in the opinion of said City Council said proposed legislation would be detrimental to the in- terests of the taxpayers of the City of Miami Beach and should be opposed. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be fur- nished by the City Clerk to each of the Dade County members of the State Legislature. PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of February, A.
