AMENDMENT No. 1
TO THE PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
AND
SAVINO & MILLER DESIGN STUDIO, P.A.,
DATED MAY 19, 2016,
FOR ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE FUTURE
COMMUNITY PARK (FORMER PAR 3) PROJECT,
IN AN AMOUNT NOT -TO- EXCEED OF $32,295;
FOR ADDITIONAL SERVICES
This Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, dated on or about May 19, 20t6, between the CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH, a municipal corporation existing under the laws of the State of ~Florida (the "City "),
and SAVINO & MILLER DESIGN STUDIO, P.A, a Florida corporation (the "Consultant "), is entered
into as of this'2C) of January, 2018.
RECITALS
WHEREAS, on December 9, 2015, pursuant to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2015-
240 -KB, the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No, 201529234, approving and
authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute a Professional Services Agreement (the
Agreement) with the Consultant to provide professional services for the planning, design, bid,
award and construction administration of the Future Community Park Project (the Project), in the
amount of $933,465; and
WHEREAS, the 30% Design Development Plan for the Project was presented to the Parks
And Recreational Facilities Advisory Board (PRFAB), which recommended reducing the size of the
proposed lake to be incorporated as part of the Project, enlarging the play fields, and providing
additional space between the proposed lake and the play fields; and
WHEREAS, the City requested inclusion of pedestrian lights along the walkway portion of
the Project, and the preliminary locations were identified in the 30% Design Development Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant has submitted a proposal for Additional Services in the amount
of $32,295, associated with revisions to Design Review Board drawings and application package;
and
WHEREAS, the Office of Capital Improvement Projects has evaluated the Consultant's cost
proposal, and is in agreement that the proposal costs are reasonable; and
WHEREAS, this Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, will revise the total contract sum to a
not -to- exceed total of $965,760.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto, and in consideration of the mutual promises,
covenants, agreements, terms, and conditions herein contained, and other good and valuable
consideration, the respect and adequacy are hereby acknowledged, do agree as follows:
1. ABOVE RECITALS
The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated as a part of this Amendment
No. 1.
2. MODIFICATIONS
a. The Agreement is amended to include and incorporate the additional Services, as
set forth in Attachment 1, attached hereto.
b. In consideration for the performance of the additional Services, as set forth in
Attachment 1, City shall pay the Consultant the total not-to-exceed amount of
$32,295,
3. OTHER PROVISIONS.
All other provisions of the Agreement, as amended, are unchanged.
4. RATIFICATION.
The City and Consultant ratify the terms of the Agreement, as amended by this Amendment
No. 1.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this Amendment No. 1 to be executed
in their names by their duly authorized officials as of the date first set forth above.

The following summarizes time and cost associated with the revisions to the DRB plans and package, and associated
project administration, as requested by the Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board (PRFAB) per Park
Advisory Board's LTC 025 -2017, prepared on January 13, 2017, and LTC 293 - 2017, prepared on June 2, 2017. The
delay of this project and additional costs our firm has incurred is the result of several additional tasks and deviations
from the Consultant's original contract scope of services that the City deemed necessary.
