RESOLUTION NO. 2003-25104
A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING AS COMPLETE THE
IMPROVEMENTS CONSTRUCTED PURSUANT TO THAT CERTAIN
SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT KNOWN AS THE "ALLISON
ISLAND UTILITY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT"; SAID ACTION BEING
TAKEN AS REQUIRED BY SECTION 170.09, FLORIDA STATUTES.
WHEREAS, on May 3, 1995, the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No.
95-21572, authorizing the creation, pursuant to Chapter 170, Florida Statutes, of the Allison
Island Utility Improvement District (the District), for capital improvements relative to the
residential portion of Allison Island; and
WHEREAS, On June 21, 1995, the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No.
95-21613, providing for the levy of special assessments to properties within the District, in
accordance with the Final Assessment Roll; and
WHEREAS, in October of 1998, the underground relocation project of electrical,
telephone, and cable television within the District, was completed; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 170.09, Florida Statutes, the Mayor and City
Commission must accept the project as complete, by Resolution, in order to begin collection of
the aforementioned special assessments; and
WHEREAS, the improvements are in place and the above-ground utilities and poles
have been removed; and
WHEREAS, funding pursuant to this special assessment has been fully expended and
collection of the assessment fees is needed to pay for the requisite debt service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission accept as complete the improvements constructed pursuant to that certain Special
Assessment District known as the "Allison Island Utility Improvement District"; said action being
taken as required by Section 170.09, Florida Statutes.

Item Summary/Recommendation:
On May 3, 1995, the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No. 95-21572, authorizing the creation
of the Allison Island Utility Improvement District for the capital improvements relative to the underground
relocation of electrical, telephone, and cable television utilities throughout the residential portion of Allison
Island.
On June 21,1995, the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution No. 95-21613, providing for the
levy of special assessments to properties within the Allison Island Utility Improvement District, in
accordance with the Final Assessment Roll.
