Miami Beach citizens hereby express their sincere apprecia-
tion to you for your kind consideration of their efforts to en-
courage the continuation of the largest training center of the United
States Army Air Forces Technical Training Command in their city.
Through the foresight of the War Department, the Air Forces
Technical Training Commandat Miami Beach has developed into such
a vital contributor to the war effort that its efficiency and econo-
my of operation have been recognized nationally.
Miami Beach citizens are proud of the opportunity the War
Department gave them to share in the, nation' s all-out determina-
tion to crush forever those who would deprive the peoples of democra-
cies the right to live as free men.
By unanimous vote of the Miami Beach City Council, we present
to you this token of our citizens' appreciation of your sympathetic
consideration of our problems.
