Morales, City Manager DATE: May 25, 2018 SUBJECT: RESIDENTIAL PARKING ZONE 12/UPP R WEST AVENUE/ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS TO EXPAND RESIDENTIAL PARKING OPPORTUNTIES - UPDATE This Letter to Commission (LTC) serves to provide an update regarding expanded parking opportunities for Residential Parking Permit Zone 12/Upper West Avenue permit holders and their registered visitors. In an effort to provide additional parking opportunities for Zone 12 permit holders, a two (2) hour maximum time limit between the hours of 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday will be instituted. Rest assured, Residential Zone 12 permit holders and their visitors (with a valid online visitor permit) are exempt from the two hour maximum time limit and non- residential permit holders must comply with the two hour maximum time limit. Residents may continue to attain visitor parking through their online account via the City's portal. Online visitor permits are also exempt from the two hour maximum time limit. Please note that signs similar to the one below on the left will be posted along the perimeter of the Zone 12 neighborhood providing notice of parking restrictions. Also, all existing signs posted within Zone 12 will be replaced with signs similar to the one shown below on the right providing notice of the two hour maximum time limit and Zone 12 permit exemption.
