SIGMUND WEINTRAUB, BEACH HOTEL OWNER
Sigmund Weintraub, 66, a longtime Miami Beach hotel owner, died of a
heart attack at his home Saturday night.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. , Mr. Weintraub moved to Miami Beach in 1939. He
owned and operated the Hotel Netherland at 1330 Ocean Dr.
Mr. Weintraub was past president of the Miami Beach South Shore Hotel
Association, a member of Temple Emanu-El, the Miami Beach and Miami Chambers
of Commerce and American Hotel and Motel Associations. He was a World War II
veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; sons, Paul, Steven, Stuart and
Peter; brother Ben; and sister Rose Goodman.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Riverside Alton Road
Chapel. The family requests donations to the Heart Fund.
